thredUp is a great site. I’m so happy to have found it!
Kids clothes can be pretty expensive, and because they’re growing, you have to buy new clothes often. With thredUp, you can buy clothes at a fraction of the cost. There is a huge selection of new and used clothes on the site. I spent quite a bit of time browsing through everything, and in the end I selected three great pieces for a little over $20. I chose a really nice Roxy jacket and a pair of GAP denim shorts for my oldest daughter and a brand new Old Navy jacket for the little one. I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as the condition of the clothes because I knew that they were used. I was thrilled to see both the Roxy jacket and denim shorts were in excellent condition! Had I bought the jacket brand new I would have paid around $40. I love finding great deals, and this site is full of them.
thredUp not only offers the option to buy clothes, it also makes it possible to clean out your kids outgrown clothes and have it sold on the site! They’ll send you a pre-paid bag, you stuff it and send it back. You’ll pay $4.95 for the bag, but it’s fully refunded once they get the bag back. Then they’ll go through the clothes and pay you for whatever they can sell. They accept kids clothes over 12 months that meet their brand and quality criteria. I haven’t tried it out yet, but with all the clothes my daughters have that they’ve outgrown, I am planning on giving it a try. Then I’ll have some extra cash to buy more clothes!
If you SIGN UP for thredUp right now, you’ll get $10 off your first purchase. Refer your friends, and when they make their first purchase you’ll receive $10 off your purchase too! There are tons of clothes that are less than $10, so you’ll be able to get an item or two for free plus the cost of shipping. Or spend $40 and your clothes ship FREE!
Disclosure: I was provided with a store credit to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cute clothes, and I love the consignment program that they have going. It’s great to be able to sell your clothes online to a large audience specifically looking for kid’s clothing.

It’s actually better than consignment because they’ll pay for the clothes that you send even before it sells!

I LOVE ThredUP! I just did a review for them as well and couldn’t believe the savings. You can really get a lot of great pieces, some even new with tags. I am in the process of sending them some of my daughter’s close too. I think they are waiving the bag fee right now to because mine was free 🙂

Beware before sending them items to sell. Look up reviews online. There are many with stories like mine. I sent a bag stuffed full of 30+ items, all name-brand and they “declined” all but 5 inexpensive pieces. The stuff they didn’t accept included Land’s End, TCP, even a VanHeusen 2-pc suit that my son wore ONCE for 3 hours, several NWT and NWOT items, and more. I got less than $10. They can’t be making much money by declining to “accept” (and then sell) so many items from so many people, so I’m starting to suspect that they are selling the “declined” items elsewhere (you don’t get the declined stuff back; they say they give it to charity or “recycle” the fabric.)
Just proceed with caution!
