A Walk through my yard – Plants of Hawaii

Do you like being in your yard? I hope you do, because I certainly love seeing the plants and flowers we have throughout. When we decide to spruce up our homes, whether it be through remodelling, or rearranging the interior design to fit a seasonal style, quite a few of us actually bypass the outdoor area and don’t give it that much thought. We may fence it off with a Fence contractor in Wilmington, NC, for example, to heighten security and give it a neat look, or we might tidy it up every now and then, but it doesn’t fill our minds. It is understandable if we do not spend a lot of time out there, however, not paying careful attention to our yards can actually make our homes look scruffy, and if you are looking to create some serious curb appeal, your yard should be on the list for a shake up.

This doesn’t just mean planting some flowers to add a splash of color, this can also mean speaking to landscaping companies to help you with your designs and possibly create an outdoor oasis that makes you feel proud of the home you own. Whether you have had your eye on a new patio area that is incorporated seamlessly into your garden design, or you would like to install some retaining wall blocks, from the inside all the way outside, you can make it your own.

You don’t just have to apply these changes to your backyard, your front yard is also a staple that should not go un-attended. Focusing on the hardscaping such as sprucing up the driveway with an Asphalt contractor in Murfreesboro, TN, for example, or adding in a new fence, is also an important part, just like the greenery. Everything can come together to make something spectacular for the eyes and for the overall look and safety of your home.

If you are not sure where to start with your yard, don’t worry, not everyone has a green thumb, in fact, so many people might look at their yard and just think “well what am I supposed to do with all of this?” It can seem like a massive job, but, if you take the time to look at what others have done, speak to neighbors, go to a garden center, or just browse online, you will be able to get a feel for what you would like to do.

Today I’m going to give you a snapshot of my yard plants and you might be pleasantly surprised by what I have growing there! This is not to say that you should follow my lead, I obviously like to fill my yard, but if this gives you any sort of inspiration to pick up a trowel or get on the phone to a landscaper, then I feel like I have definitely played my part in helping people today.

So, without further delay, take a walk through my yard with me.

Your plants look great! I have a small papaya tree & one pineapple currently growing in my garden, along with some herbs & flowers. Wish I had a bigger yard to plant more things in.

lol. I’m not much for planting myself, veggies and stuff like that never survive! These plants all grow on their own with no help from me!

I am so envious! I have often wanted to go to Hawaii! My mother lived their as a child, and she has told me many stories about life there and the beauty all around you! You have quite the green thumb! I love gardening too, but I have never grown any of the fruits, nuts, or trees that you have there, although I would love to! Hawaii is truly a paradise! Thanks for sharing your beautiful yard! Oh, by the way, I do grow hibiscus in my yard and they come back every year! This is my favorite flower! Aloha!
