RECIPE: Super Easy Sprite Biscuits

If you’re on Pinterest you may have seen the recipe for 7-up Biscuits  floating around.  I changed it up a bit and used Sprite instead.  We didn’t have any 7-up on hand so I figured Sprite would work just as well, and it did.  Let me tell you, these biscuits were GOOD!  They are so light with a slight hint of sweetness.  Being that bread is my guilty pleasure, especially freshly baked, I couldn’t pass up on this recipe.  I’m so glad I tried it, and you should too!  It’s super easy and uses just four ingredients, most of which I just happened to have at home. Thanks Costco for my giant tub of sour cream!  We didn’t have any Bisquick but my mom lives right next door, and they always have a box of Bisquick on hand!  If you don’t have Bisquick, I found a recipe here where you can make your own.  Along with the Sprite, sour cream, and Bisquick, you’ll also need some butter.  I was able to whip these biscuits up in just a few minutes.  I enjoyed them with butter and honey…yum!

Here’s the simple recipe:

2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Sprite

1/4 cup melted butter

Add sour cream to biscuick mix, add Sprite. Makes a very soft & sticky dough.  Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 9 inch square pan. Place cut biscuits in pan and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. (I just put the dough in the pan and cut it when it was done.  It probably would’ve looked prettier if I had cut the biscuits first.)

You know it might be a bad idea that I’m online so early because your blog has made me hungry. LOL. I’ve never heard of 7 up or Sprite biscuits. I will definitely have to try making these soon. Thanks for sharing and have a good day!
