Silicone Popsicle & Ice Cube Trays + Sushi Set from HABA – Review & Giveaway

Haba review

Disclosure:  I received these items for review purposes.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve always loved the variety of products offered by HABA.  I recently got the opportunity to try out a few of their products including the Silicone Popsicle Tray and Ice Cube Tray as well as a pretend play Sushi Set.  I thought they were all great products.

The popsicle and ice cube trays are made of sturdy silicone.  They’re safe to use in the oven, freezer, and dishwasher.  Each tray also comes with a brochure which features 3 recipes.

haba popsicle tray mold

I received the Penguin Popsicle Tray which features four spaces, each with a different character.  It’s very simple to use.  All you have to do is insert the handles, pour in the mix and freeze!  I made delicious Strawberry Banana Popsicles.  It took a little over 5 hours to get frozen enough to eat.  I think we could have kept it in a while longer though because when I tried to get the popsicle out, some of it was still left in the tray.  My daughter and I really enjoyed making the popsicles together.  I’m sure we’ll be using this popsicle tray a lot.  I can’t wait to come up with some new recipes.  You can purchase the Popsicle Tray for $17.09

The Water Party Ice Cube Tray features six spaces for making fun shaped ice cubes.  It includes shapes such as an octopus, penguin and whale.  This is such a neat product.  It retails for just $9.49.

pretend play food sushi set

Pretend play is such an important part of growing up.  It’s a way for kids to nurture their imagination.  Children learn social, emotional, language and thinking skills through pretend play.  The adorable Sushi set from HABA will encourage children to pretend and have fun doing so.  Kids will have a great time serving up this traditional Japanese cuisine.  Here in Hawaii, we eat a lot of sushi so my girls are very familiar with it.  I must say this set is so realistic!  It includes 4 little sushi rolls, a shrimp sushi, wasabi dip, a little bowl, decorative grass, a pair of chopsticks, and a serving board.  The sushi pieces are made of polyester and the serving board is wooden.  This set retails for $16.14.

I think the sushi set is adorable! I’m not sure that my 2.5 year old would know it was pretend food though lol. She’s never had sushi. I would use the cute ice cube trays to add a special touch to her sand and water table this summer.
