Hunger Games Synopsis
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen volunteers in her younger sister’s place to enter the games, and is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy when she’s pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

I’ve watched the movie and have read the first book in the series and I really liked it! I’m hoping to read “Catching Fire”, the second book in the series soon!

I’ve read all 3 books and I’ve seen the 1st movie!
I loved the first two books and was a bit disappointed by the last one– only because I felt like the author crammed too much information at the end of the 3rd book, it would have been even better if it was an extra 100 pages long with more detail.

My daughter and I went and seen it at the theater and loved it! It seems like it relates to the world we live in today.
havent seen the movie yet, heck I havent even read the books. after the twinkly fairy dust vampires I went rather off teenagers as a subject of interest. but after reading your review I’m going to at least check the book out of the library for a look. thanks

I have read the first two books haven’t had a chance to read Mockingjay or see the movie and I would absolutely love to! The books drag you right into the arena with them its so easy to get lost into them.
