Stand Up Paddle Boarding and River Surfing!

Here’s a few pics of my 6 year old daughter riding her surfboard in the river.  It’s not a real stand up paddle board, but she’s still light enough to use it as one.  She also practiced balancing as she road the board down river.

This looks like fun, but I’ve gone whitewater rafting and that was hard, so I’m not too sure about this. lol At least you wouldn’t have to worry about sharks!!

Yes! No Sharks! I’m afraid to go paddle boarding in the ocean because of sharks and other creatures! lol

NOW THAT LOOKS LIKE SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!! I am not that great of a swimmer but I would hope that if a 6 year old could do it, I could too. LOL

I used to do this with my friend when we lived in North Carolina. It was so much fun! It was easier than I thought it would be but even so, I am impressed at how well your 6-year old appears to have handled it. Good for her!

I tried on a bigger paddle board, and for me, it looked easier than it was! You really have to get your balance. My daughter has gotten good at it though, she also practices at the beach!

I’ve always wanted to take my kids to try something like this, but I’m so afraid of the water near where we live in Florida because of the alligators! Maybe when we move back up to Indiana we’ll be able to find a park with a slow and shallowish river!

Oh my…Alligators? I’d be scared too! I’m glad we have nothing like that in these rivers!
