Weekend Getaway – Hilton Waikoloa Village

It’s been a while since we got to go on a family vacation, and we were definitely due for a little rest, relaxation, and family fun!

A few weeks ago I decided to book our room and surprise my daughters with a weekend getaway.  We spent one night at the Hilton Waikoloa Village which is one of our families favorite hotels.  The Hilton Waikoloa Village is set on 62 oceanfront acres.  There are boats and trams to get you to your room, the pools, and restaurants, or you can walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds and the walkways which are filled with Polynesian and Asian artwork.

When I told my five year old our weekend plans, she was beyond excited!  It’s been two years since our last stay, my 2 year old was just a few months old at the time.  My five year old knew exactly what she wanted to do when she got there.  In fact, she got to planning write away, and with the help of my mom, she wrote a list of all the things she wanted to do.  When I found out about her list, I knew I’d figure out a way to get everything checked off.  Luckily, that was pretty easy to do.  Her list included everything from dropping our bags off in our room to eating at the Sunday Brunch!  She also wanted to visit the dolphins and go down the biggest water slide.  We did it all!

 

 

Every day life can be so hectic and busy sometimes.  It was nice to get away for a while, no computers, no cleaning, no work!  We also enjoyed our time as a family, doing something special and building memories that will last a lifetime!
