I love all things Disney which is why I was thrilled to find out I was chosen to host a Disney Side at Home Celebration!
What exactly is your “Disney Side”? According to the Disney Side site, it’s “that fun-loving adventurous spirit that comes out to play when you’re feeling the Disney magic!” Do you have a Disney Side?
To show our Disney Side, my family hosted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Disney Party. It was fun planning a party “just because”. There was no special occasion, just the fact that we wanted to share our Disney Side with family and friends.
I received some awesome supplies in my celebration kit that helped to bring out the Magic of Disney at my party. Since most of the decorations were covered, the first thing I did was come up with our menu. Costco sells these cute Mickey chicken nuggets, which were perfect for the party. I also made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches shaped like Mickey Mouse using the cookie cutters I received in my kit. They turned out so cute! I cut up some pears to go with lunch, and for dessert we had Mickey shaped Rice Krispie Treats and white chocolate peppermint covered pretzels.
We started off the party with lunch. During lunch I had the Disney Parks Planning DVD on for guests to watch. It got everyone excited, and all the kids were asking to go to Disneyland!
After lunch, I let the kids color and decorate their RunDisney signs that were in the kit, we used them as place mats for the party. I also had some Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck coloring pages for the kids to color. Once they were done coloring, it was time to get their Donald Duck tattoos. Everyone loved it.
We finished off the party with Disney Bingo that was provided in the celebration kit. Both kids and adults were anxious to get started. The winner took home a special prize, a Disney luggage tag! I only wish I had more to give away. The guests didn’t leave the party empty handed. They all left with some awesome Disney goodies.
We had such a fun time celebrating our #DisneySide. It was a great celebration. It’s always nice to have a party for no reason other than to celebrate and have fun with friends and family.
When I first found out I was going to be a host of a #DisneySide @ home Celebration I was thrilled, so thrilled that I started researching Disney vacations. My girls have been wanting to go to Disneyland for a while now, and I’ve been wanting to go too. I’ve just been waiting for the right time. My youngest turns 4 on September 28th. I think she’s finally old enough to really enjoy Disneyland. I talked to my husband about planning a trip, and to my surprise he wasn’t against the idea at all, in fact, he agreed that we should go! I’m so excited, and have already started planning. I talked to my sister and mom, and they want to join us too. It will be the greatest trip ever. We plan to arrive on the 28th of September, just in time to celebrate my youngest daughters 4th birthday! My niece turns 4 three days later, and my youngest niece will be one on the 7th. We’ll be able to celebrate all their birthdays at Disneyland!

How fun! I love that you used the cookie cutters for sandwiches. Anything that makes food a novelty so kids will eat is on my good list! Mickey Mouse Club House is my kids’ current favorite show. We actually did a Mickey birthday party a few years ago.

Looks like a fun party. My granddaughters are ages 3 and 4 and the oldest has been asking when will she be able to go to Disney. My family and I are planning a trip for next year when our youngest granddaughter turns 4. In the meantime, this sounds like a great idea to get them excited for their upcoming trip.
