Getting Healthy – Whole Wheat English Muffin Pizzas

Since we’re trying to eat healthy, I’ve had to come up with some new and exciting meals.  Who doesn’t like Pizza?  I sure do, and so do my daughters!  I came up with the idea of using whole wheat English muffin halves and turning them into the base for our Pizzas.  We layered the English Muffin with a little Pizza Sauce.  Then the kids helped to add the toppings to the individual pizzas.  We had some mozzarella cheese as well as olives, mushrooms, garlic and fresh spinach leaves.  The girls enjoyed helping out!  We baked them at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.  They were delicious!

The pizza looks awesome. Sometimes part of the healthy diet is being able to make the meal look appetizing. Looks like you did that!

Haven’t made these in a long time. Now that you suggested on the whole wheat is a great idea! The kids looked like they had fun helping!

We make these all the time. We do ham/pepperoni, pineapple/ham/red onion, sausage crumbles from jimmy dean/green pepper with three cheese. My kids love them! Very easy go to meal.
