I must say, this year sure has flown by! Christmas is less than two weeks away! Where has the time gone? I love the holidays and everything that comes with it. I know some people find it to be a stressful time, but not me!
Honestly, I know why some people feel that way. From decorating the house to buying gifts, especially for teenage girls. There are so many things to present them, from clutches to a cosmetic product from the Soda Makeup Brand or a new dress, that it can be overwhelming to select one. Not to forget the decorations which might need a lot of effort.
Hence, Christmas can be a time when there must be a lot on the plate of individuals who celebrate Christmas in its true sense! Only if they start planning early could they prevent themselves from feeling overwhelmed by the pressure. Doing this could also help them manage their finances better so that they can either save or use the remaining money to buy something that they really wanted. For example, maybe buying themselves a gift like a necklace for strapless dress that they were planning to wear on Christmas.
For instance, if homeowners get the home repairs sorted early (perhaps a month or two before the season of Jingle Bells), they might have enough time to attend to the Christmas decoration needs of their dwelling. This would prevent them from having to run behind to replace their porch lights at the last moment!
Likewise, if individuals make a checklist of what all gifts they want to give to which age groups from early on, they would not have to feel the burden of finalizing a gift at the last minute. To do this, they can create a checklist, write the names of the kids at the beginning, and put the names of the gifts (such as a
fingerboard or Jenga) alongside each name. The same can be repeated for adults. Once they are done buying the presents, they can cross each name.
Another way of putting an end to the ritual of last-minute shopping, for the sake of your money, can be done by making purchases during Black Friday Sales. It starts in the middle of the number and lasts throughout the weekend. This is the time when everything can be bought at a pocket-friendly price, be it newborn apparel (like baby girl or baby boy clothes), plushy toys, board games, backpacks, home decor, or electronic gadgets. You name it, and it’s there at a discount!
Anyway, that is how I go about things, which is why I do not really feel the stress as the season of festivities approaches. Instead, I feel excited about decorating the house and buying gifts, and wrapping them. I will not lie I love decorating more! And…I LOVE celebrating! We put up two artificial 4 foot Christmas trees this year, one for each of the girls. I have them up high on tables, as my one year old is a little monster, and those trees would never last if she could easily get her hands on them! I usually put the gifts out early, but unfortunately, because of my little terror, I’ll have to wait till christmas eve to put most of them out.
