On our recent trip to Las Vegas, my husband and I were lucky enough to see 5 awesome shows! We were given tickets to Tournament of Kings, but all other shows were purchased on our own. Though shows can be expensive, in my opinion, they are well worth it. If you can, try to go to at least 1 show! Then you can check out these FREE THINGS to do in Las Vegas. Our Day at the Park – Anuenue Playground
The Anuenue Playground in Waimea on Hawaii's Big Island has got to be one of the coolest playground's around. The expansive wooden structure brings out the excitement in kids of all ages! It's Summer, and living on an island, our options are limited. We've got the beach, playgrounds, a zoo, and a bowling alley. Unfortunately, most of those are quite a drive away, so we spend most of our days at home. I asked the girls what they'd like to do, and they both wanted to go to the park. Since I had a dentist appointment in Waimea, I decided to make it a day Keep reading...
Our Weekend at the Hilton Waikoloa Village
As I mentioned in my daughters 7th Birthday post, she had asked to go to the hotel for her birthday. The Hilton Waikoloa Village is her favorite hotel to stay at, and if you're ever to visit, you'll understand why! It has been over a year since our last visit, so we were all very excited to spend some time there. We were lucky enough to get an early check-in which is awesome. The normal check-in time is 3:00 pm, then you have to check-out at 12:30 the next day. That definitely isn't enough time to enjoy all the hotel has to offer! We got to the hotel at 10:30 am. We would Keep reading...

It had been over two years since we'd gone on a family vacation. A getaway was definitely long overdue. Work was slowing down for my husband and he got laid off at the end of May. It was the perfect time for a Summer vacation, which means that we needed to prepare and not just in terms of finding a destination or booking accommodation but also in terms of making our house ready to be empty for a while. After all, we did not want burglars to make merry in our dwelling while we were absent. So we inspected our house security systems-we had the alarm systems replaced, CCTV cameras repaired, Keep reading...
Weekend Getaway – Hilton Waikoloa Village
It's been a while since we got to go on a family vacation, and we were definitely due for a little rest, relaxation, and family fun! A few weeks ago I decided to book our room and surprise my daughters with a weekend getaway. We spent one night at the Hilton Waikoloa Village which is one of our families favorite hotels. The Hilton Waikoloa Village is set on 62 oceanfront acres. There are boats and trams to get you to your room, the pools, and restaurants, or you can walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds and the walkways which are filled with Polynesian and Asian artwork. When Keep reading...
