I can’t believe I WON $5,000 by entering sweepstakes!
Back in September my husband convinced me to enter sweepstakes after he watched "High Stakes Sweepers". So, I'd stay up late at night entering sweepstakes and blog giveaways. I felt I had more of a chance with the blog giveaways, so I spent most of my time entering those. I did try for a few of the bigger sweepstakes, but never in a million years did I actually think I'd win! After entering these contests for over a month, I slowed down to entering just a few a week. It takes a lot of time, and although I did win some nice prizes, it wasn't anything really big. I won some books, Keep reading...
3 ways to SAVE money & get CASH Back on your online purchases
I love to shop, but I don't like to spend! Because of this, whenever I shop I always try to shop wisely and spend as little as possible. There are three things I always do to get the best prices when shopping online.1. Do a google search for coupon codes. You can usually find a coupon code if you search. There are websites like scubby that post articles to help people find coupons and cashback offers on shopping apps. A little hunting on Google and other search engines should be enough. You'll often find coupon codes for free shipping or a certain percentage off your order. I also check Keep reading...

I love yard sales, both having them and going to them! It's like a treasure hunt for me. You never know what you're going to find! I know it isn't the typical time for yard sales at it's too cold out in most states. But, here in Hawaii, yard sales happen year round! We haven't been in a while, but finally went last saturday, and we're going again in the morning! Here are a few TIPS for all of you Yard Sale shoppers!1. Bring a lot of dollar bills! Have you heard of Pinterest? I joined a while ago, but just started really using it about a week ago. I must say, it's an awesome site, and I love browsing through it and pinning! What is Pinterest? It's an online pinboard. You can organize all the great things you find online by "pinning" them onto boards. You can categories these boards any way you like. Let's say you're browsing the web and you find a great recipe, you can "pin" it to one of your boards on Pinterest. I have a "Tasty Looking Foods" board where I pin all the yummy looking foods I find. You can also "repin" things that Keep reading...
GOALS for 2012 – Goal #2 – Make some Extra MONEY!
Being a stay-at-home mom, I'm always looking for ways to make a little extra money. These are two of the ways I earn extra money:1. Recycle. We recycle our bottles & cans. Although it doesn't bring in a lot of money, every little bit counts! We get about $15 - $20 a month through recyling.2. Host Yard Sales. I try to have a yard sale at least once a year. It's a great way to clear the house of things we don't really need or use. Unfortunately we don't live in a very busy area, so we don't get a very large group of shoppers. But, I usually do okay. At my last yard sale, I Keep reading...
My GOALS for 2012 – Goal # 1 Get ORGANIZED!
So, being that it's a new year, I've been thinking about what I want to accomplish before the year is up. One thing I really want and need to do is....1. Get ORGANIZED! Home, Bills, Life!-I've always wanted to be organized. I try and try...but I'm just NOT an organized person. I really want to make it a priority this year. I must say, I started off with a good start. My kids have a "play" room. And I fixed it up at the beginning of the month. I was afraid that there might be some mold or termite problems in the room, given how much clutter and spilling goes on in there. Getting Keep reading...
