DIY Mason Jar Lidded Cups with Straw

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Mason Jars can be used for so many things. From vases, to storage, and even drinking cups! The possibilities are endless.     I love that there are so many uses for these jars, and the more I think about it, the more ideas I come up with. I ordered a bunch of Mason Jars from Oriental Trading, in hopes of using them for Christmas gifts and decor for our annual Christmas Eve party. So far, I've made a few cups for my daughters teachers, and plan to make more within the next day or two. I'm also thinking up a few ideas for Christmas Keep reading...

DIY: Easy Bead & Button Bracelets

I'm always looking for ways to keep my 3 year old busy and entertained.  She really enjoys doing different projects, and I like coming up with things that are sure to keep her busy for a good amount of time.  I had some beads in various sizes as well as a few buttons.  They were perfect for a bracelet!  All you need to make these bracelets are a variety of beads and buttons and a pipe cleaner. The bead and button bracelet is a perfect activity to help develop hand eye coordination and fine motor skills. You can also use this activity to practice sorting, colors, and Keep reading...

DIY Flower Headband Tutorial

I've seen lots of these adorable flower headbands around, and have even purchased a few.  I always wondered how hard they were to make.  I'm not the craftiest person, but I thought I'd try making some on my own.  I found all of the material to make these headbands at Sunshine Shoppe Supply where you can find craft supplies at wholesale prices. The headbands were surprisingly easy to make.  From start to finish, these headbands can be made in just a few minutes.  To make a headband you'll need some elastic.  I used the Glitter Stretch Elastic for this headband.  The elastic comes in many Keep reading...

Teen Beach Movie – DIY Lela Costume

My six year old daughter loves watching Teen Beach Movie on the Disney Channel.  She and her friends enjoy the movie so much, they dance to the songs during recess at school!  I'm not surprised that she decided she wanted to be Lela this year.  Lela is one of the "Bikers" from the movie which takes place .  She wears a Pink Leather Jacket which is the main part of her outfit, so I knew I had to find one if my daughter were to dress up as her for Halloween.  She already had a pair of white shorts and we used a black belt that came with one of her dresses.  I found a cute cropped pink Keep reading...

DIY Halloween Ghost Costume

DIY Halloween Ghost Costume

This is a super easy costume to make, it literally took me less than 10 minutes!  All you need is a plain white t-shirt or onesie, felt, and some thread!  I cut the eyes and mouth out of the felt and hand stitched them onto the onesie.  That's it!  I paired the onesie with a pair of black lace pants, but I think it would look even cuter with a white tutu.  I have some white tulle, so I'm thinking I'll try making a tutu.     Want MORE awesome DIY Halloween Costume Ideas?  Check out THIS post, for 25 DIY Halloween Costumes! 25 DIY Halloween Costumes

With Halloween being less than 2 months away, I have been thinking of costume ideas for my girls. On this day, it's a great idea to dress up as one of your favorite superheroes. It will certainly boost your status among your friends and make the day more fun. Superhero jackets and their whole costumes will make you stand out at the party. Although superpowers are fictitious, we can make ourselves appear like superheroes by donning the appropriate outfit to make way for the best Halloween appearance. Though there are an endless number of options in all the categories, for my girls, I like Keep reading...

Homemade Slip n’ Slide

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday, and we had no plans.  So, we decided to make a big slip n' slide down our hill.  The kids had a blast!  We used a big tarp and Dawn dishwashing liquid to get it slippery.  We do own one of those store bought slip n' slides, and it works well enough, but it's so narrow that the kids usually slide off the sides.  That wasn't gonna happen with this one!  It was the perfect way to spend a little FUN in the SUN!
