I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. Unfortunately, head lice are common in elementary schools – about one out of every 100 elementary school children becomes infested. Most parents would agree, the letter home informing of a head lice outbreak is not a welcome sight. The question of “What do I do?” is common. Knowing the facts beforehand can help you resolve the situation quickly. The Headfirst! Expert Advice on Lice Keep reading...
Decluttering – Clearing out the DVDs
I have an entertainment center filled with DVDs. Most of them, have never been watched in years. Some I bought from yard sales, others I've owned probably since DVDs first came out! My two year old loves taking all the DVDs out of the entertainment center. She'll take them out of their cases and pile them on the floor. As you can imagine, I always have a big mess to clean up! Since we no longer watch most of those DVDs I decided it might be best to get rid of them. It's time to Declutter the DVD shelf! What's the point of having all these DVDs if we no longer watch them? We Keep reading...
A song in remembrance of loved ones who have passed – Dancing In The Sky by Dani & Lizzy
Dancing In the Sky is a song by twin sisters Dani & Lizzy from Vancouver B.C. I first heard this song when someone shared it on Facebook and I've loved it ever since. It's a beautiful song. If you've ever lost a loved one, this is a great song to listen to. It brought tears to my eyes,as I thought about my dad who passed away in March. But it's also uplifting, and I listen to it often. I may not be a great singer, but I sing along every time! Listen, and tell me what you think. SONG LYRICS: Dani and Lizzy - Dancing in the Sky VERSE 1: What does it look like Keep reading...

Summer Vacation – A month on the Island of Oahu
It had been over two years since we'd gone on a family vacation. A getaway was definitely long overdue. Work was slowing down for my husband and he got laid off at the end of May. It was the perfect time for a Summer vacation, which means that we needed to prepare and not just in terms of finding a destination or booking accommodation but also in terms of making our house ready to be empty for a while. After all, we did not want burglars to make merry in our dwelling while we were absent. So we inspected our house security systems-we had the alarm systems replaced, CCTV cameras repaired, Keep reading...
Pull Ups House Party
We all really enjoyed our Pull-Ups First Flush Party! There are a bunch of little ones all born within 2 months of each other. Being that they are all in the potty training stage, this party was perfect for all of them! We started off the party by handing out party hats and blowers, they were excited. Having all those two year olds in one room definitely got a little hectic and I knew they wouldn't last inside for long. I opened up a bag of pull-ups and had each of the girls choose between a minnie mouse pull-up and a princess one. Once they chose which one they wanted, they Keep reading...
Pull-Ups First Flush Celebration
My 2 year old is learning and discovering new things each and every day. It's great to be there as she reaches a new milestone. One of the biggest accomplishments for every little one, is their first flush! Potty training comes easy for some while it can be a challenge for others. My first daughter had her first flush at around 18 months. My youngest, now 28 months old, is not quite there yet. Although we did have a couple successful attempts when I put her on the potty, it isn't the norm. I do believe it's time we get more serious about it, which is why I'm excited to be a Keep reading...
Pull-Ups “First Flush” Ambassador Program + Pull-Ups House Party Sign-Ups
I am so excited to have been chosen to be a part of the Pull-Ups "First Flush" Ambassador Program. Being a mother of a two year old can be a time of many challenges and new experiences, potty training being one of them. My daughter has shown more and more interested in potty training lately, but usually runs on over to the potty only once she has already gone in her diaper. She'll take off her diaper, but it is already too late. She is getting there, but we still have a long road ahead. I think transitioning from diapers to Pull-Ups will really help as she'll have a much easier Keep reading...
WondaWedge & BookWedge *2012 Holiday Gift Guide*
Being one who loves reading at the beach, I found both the WondaWedge and BookWedge to be great products. They are both inflatable pillow wedges. The WondaWedge is the larger of the two and can be used as you lounge around at home, at the beach, and anywhere else you'd like to use it. It offers back support so that you can easily sit in an upright position. There is also a mat attached. It does take some time to blow up as it isn't small, but the comfort factor makes it worth it. The WondaWedge sells for $24.oo The BookWedge is an inflatable device Keep reading...
