My home was over flowing with STUFF! All kinds of stuff, too much stuff, it was so overwhelming. I knew it was time to do something about it. Time to de-clutter and get organized! How did I do it? Separate STUFF into 4 piles. For each area I cleaned, I separated the clutter into different piles. My problem areas were my kitchen counter, my dresser, my desk, my closet, the bathroom closet and the kids bedroom and toy room. So yeah, basically my whole house! I have my dresser right by my bedroom door. It became the prime spot for placing things as Keep reading...

Decluttering – Clearing out the DVDs
I have an entertainment center filled with DVDs. Most of them, have never been watched in years. Some I bought from yard sales, others I've owned probably since DVDs first came out! My two year old loves taking all the DVDs out of the entertainment center. She'll take them out of their cases and pile them on the floor. As you can imagine, I always have a big mess to clean up! Since we no longer watch most of those DVDs I decided it might be best to get rid of them. It's time to Declutter the DVD shelf! What's the point of having all these DVDs if we no longer watch them? We Keep reading...
GOALS for 2012 – Goal #2 – Make some Extra MONEY!
Being a stay-at-home mom, I'm always looking for ways to make a little extra money. These are two of the ways I earn extra money:1. Recycle. We recycle our bottles & cans. Although it doesn't bring in a lot of money, every little bit counts! We get about $15 - $20 a month through recyling.2. Host Yard Sales. I try to have a yard sale at least once a year. It's a great way to clear the house of things we don't really need or use. Unfortunately we don't live in a very busy area, so we don't get a very large group of shoppers. But, I usually do okay. At my last yard sale, I Keep reading...

Living a FRUGAL life
My husband and I have decided we really need to start living frugally. We aren't big spenders, and aside from my husband's truck loan, we have NO debt, so we are doing pretty well. However, we need to try to SAVE more money and build up on our savings. We plan to buy a house soon, it will be our first. Not only do we need to save up for a down payment and closing costs, but I still want to have money left over. Emergency funds are so important!
