Fruition Snack Bars Review

Fruition Snack Bars Review

These bars really are great!  I have a very picky 23 month old, and if she likes them, they must be good!  When I first tried a Fruition bar, I gave my daughter a taste and she came back for more and took the biggest bite ever!  Then, she came back and took the rest of the bar.  That was very unusual because the only time she'll do something like that is if it's a cookie or another unhealthy treat.  I'm actually really glad I found something she likes, and better yet, it's healthy and good for her!     Fruition Bars come in a variety of tasty flavors such as Keep reading...

Peanut Butter & Honey Sandwich with Bananas

Peanut Butter & Honey Sandwich with Bananas

Made these for lunch today. Simple, easy, and healthy! First I toasted 2 slices of Whole Wheat bread and sliced a banana.  I used an apple banana, they are smaller, so I could fit the whole thing in my sandwich.  If you have a regular banana, you'll probably use half.  Slather one side of the bread with peanut butter and the other with honey.  Layer on the banana slices, eat and enjoy!   Keep reading...

Chobani Greek Yogurt Review & Giveaway

Chobani Greek Yogurt Review & Giveaway

I'm a huge fan of yogurt, and Greek yogurt has become my new favorite!  Chobani Greek Yogurt is so good!  They have a wide selection of flavors to choose from and they offer both non-fat and low-fat versions. Why is it called Greek Yogurt? No, Chobani Yogurt isn't made in Greece!  The name comes from the way the yogurt is made.  Chobani Greek Yogurt is made the authentic way.  Thickeners, stabilizers, or Gelatins are never added.  What they do is strain their yogurt to remove excess liquids.  That process makes Chobani yogurts thick, creamy, and full of protein! Yes, Chobani Keep reading...

I love to snack throughout the day, so when we threw out all of our junk food, I knew I had to find some healthy alternatives. Getting Healthy – Whole Wheat English Muffin Pizzas

Getting Healthy – Whole Wheat English Muffin Pizzas

Since we're trying to eat healthy, I've had to come up with some new and exciting meals.  Who doesn't like Pizza?  I sure do, and so do my daughters!  I came up with the idea of using whole wheat English muffin halves and turning them into the base for our Pizzas.  We layered the English Muffin with a little Pizza Sauce.  Then the kids helped to add the toppings to the individual pizzas.  We had some mozzarella cheese as well as olives, mushrooms, garlic and fresh spinach leaves.  The girls enjoyed helping out!  We baked them at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.  They were Keep reading...

My husband and I have been trying to "Get Healthy"!  Along with doing the Insanity Workouts, we have also changed the way we eat! For lunch yesterday we had a Boca Burger on a whole wheat roll.  I topped the burger with a balsamic caramelized onion & cranberry mixture that I came up with, I love to experiment and come up with my own recipes.  We had it with a side of fresh cantaloupe chunks.  It was DELICIOUS!       Balsamic Carmelized Onion & Cranberry Burger/Sandwich Topping  Onions a spoonful of minced garlic handful of dried Keep reading...

RECIPE: Baked Parmesan Chicken

RECIPE: Baked Parmesan Chicken

I love sour cream! So, any recipe that calls for sour cream, I'm more than willing to try. I found a similar recipe to this on Pinterest, and changed it up just a little. A lot of the recipes called for mayo instead of sour cream. I am NOT a fan of mayo. So when I saw that someone had replaced the mayo with sour cream, i new I had to try it! I really enjoyed this dish. I used chicken breasts for the kids and I, and chicken thighs for my hubby because he thinks the breasts are too dry. I didn't try the thighs, but I think the breasts were great, and not too dry at all. I think the sour cream Keep reading...

RECIPE: Super Easy Sprite Biscuits

If you're on Pinterest you may have seen the recipe for 7-up Biscuits  floating around.  I changed it up a bit and used Sprite instead.  We didn't have any 7-up on hand so I figured Sprite would work just as well, and it did.  Let me tell you, these biscuits were GOOD!  They are so light with a slight hint of sweetness.  Being that bread is my guilty pleasure, especially freshly baked, I couldn't pass up on this recipe.  I'm so glad I tried it, and you should too!  It's super easy and uses just four ingredients, most of which I just happened to have at home. Thanks Costco for my giant tub of Keep reading...
